Despina Papaefstathiou



DESPINA PAPAEFSTATHIOU
was born in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Despina graduated in Law from the University of Southampton in 2008 (LL.B Hons). In 2009 she graduated from University College London (UCL) with an LL.M in Corporate and Commercial Law and then went on to complete the Legal Practice Course (L.P.C.) at the College of Law in London. In 2010 she joined our firm as a trainee lawyer and in 2011 she was admitted to the Cyprus Bar Association.

Despina’s first two years of practice were with the firm’s Civil Litigation department, being involved in disputes concerning banking, corporate and contractual matters. Thereafter she  joined the team of lawyers advising High-Net-Worth international clients and meeting the high demand for investments and investment related immigration in Cyprus. Despina’s legal knowledge and expertise especially in corporate, real estate and immigration law, are a valuable asset to the team, allowing for the provision of an all-round service to the firm’s international clientele. In the corporate law domain Despina has been active in setting up corporate structures and the licensing required for particular types of companies. Moreover, in the immigration law domain, Despina advises local and foreign-interest companies based in Cyprus to deal with their corporate immigration needs. Following the recent introduction of the Alternative Investment Fund legislation in Cyprus, Despina has expanded her expertise in this area of the law.

Despina has co-written articles concerning the property and immigration domain in Cyprus.
