Anastasia Michele Papadopoulou

ANASTASIA MICHELLE PAPADOPOULOU was born in Nicosia, Cyprus.

Anastasia graduated in History from the University of Edinburgh (MA Arts History) in 1997 and following that she graduated in Law from the University of Cambridge (LLB) in 1999. In 2000 she went on to complete the Legal Practice Course (L.P.C.) at the College of Law in London.

Anastasia began her articles at the London based firm Slaughter and May at the Competition Law department. In 2002 she was admitted to the Cyprus Bar and joined the firm. She later became a partner at the firm, now Tassos Papadopoulos & Associates L.L.C. Anastasia joined the Litigation department in Civil Litigation, primarily involved in disputes concerning banking, and contractual matters.

At the same time she was involved in the Mergers and Acquisitions department particularly in the drafting of financing documents for major projects as well as being involved in the notifications to the Cyprus Competition Commission. She also advises on matters relating to banking, financing, corporate entities, contractual matters and competition issues.

Main areas of practice: Banking Litigation, Competition Law, Joint Ventures and Corporate Entities, Mergers and Acquisitions, Transactional documentation, Corporate Law, Commercial and contract law.
